Motto
The Homebound Ministry was begun in 1999 with James 1:27 as our inspiration. Caring people of First Baptist serve as volunteers in this ministry. At this time we have 20 homebound people and 16 people in area nursing homes, but the list changes constantly.
Our church has a sing-a-long service at High Hope Nursing Home the third Thursday of the month at 3:00 p.m. Our pastor, Dr. David Holder, gives a short devotional and we also have several of our own volunteer to sing solos and duets to bring the light of hope and joy to their lives. There is also a teddy bear ministry in place, and during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, baskets are taken to the homebound.
If you know of someone who needs to be added to our list, please call or e-mail our
